How to find $1 books from Scholastic Book Club! If you are like many other teachers, you have asked for donations for monthly $1 books for your students. The only problem is that Scholastic Book Club doesn’t exactly make it easy to find those books. Here is a tutorial in pictures of how to! You can start your search on Scholastic HERE.
First step: search for “picture book $1” in the search bar at the top of the page.
Next, narrow your search with a filter on the left hand side bar. Click on the drop down menu for “Price” and choose $1-$2.
Up will come all the picture books for $1 they have at the moment. Feel free to search instead for “chapter books $1” or whatever you need. How to find $1 books from Scholastic Book Club? I have the answers! It is easy now when I say How to find $1 books from Scholastic Book Club.
Now you wait until your books are delivered. Your students can take them home to enjoy!

Do you know if they are still doing this? As of 10/14/20 I can’t get it to search for picture book $1 and even if I look up some of the books on the list above you that you have showing for $1 they are coming up for $4.50. I’m wondering if they have stopped having $1 books altogether.
After digging I found the “Book of the Week” which is $1. Right now it is:

It’s pretty sad that now the LOWEST option is “Under $4”. I am going to have to quit doing this for my students now and I’ve done it for the past several years. Last year they at least had the dollar book a week, and the dollar store if you spent so much. Now both of those things are gone. So sad!
