As a teacher, I love the book because kids love the book. It is one of the books that no matter how many times your students have heard it, they become silent as you begin to read.  They are filled with excitement and anticipation as they await the magical transformation at the end.
And to celebrate, one lucky reader will win:

Two copies of The Very Hungry Caterpillar board book
(1 to keep, 1 to share)!

I just love Eric Carle, who doesn’t??

  19. First of all, the illustrations are fantastic and the colors are so bright they just grab your attention. I love the book because there are ways to use it in all subject areas! It's a great review of days of the week and counting. Students can always relate to being hungry and/or eating too much, so the book is a great story starter. And it is (of course) an excellent way to start many different life science activities and discussions. Plus, you can't beat the look on young children's faces when they see the ending! Thanks for this chance to win!
