I Have a Preposition For You! Prepositions in First Grade (freebie, too)

·
Even though I am teaching Kindergarten this year, I am still involved with First Grade.  My First Grade Friends have  pointed out that (at least for us) a new skill with Common Core…it has us teaching prepositions (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.1.1i Use frequently occurring prepositions).
In the past, we’ve used prepositions in our writing and discussed them briefly, but haven’t really “taught” them formally.  They are certainly not in our reading series.  So to get ready for next year when I am back in First Grade, I decided to work on a supplemental pack for Prepositions!
This pack is 79 pages with lots of activities for all year long!

  1. Your anchor chart is adorable! You are artistic! I love your packets because you always think of everything needed to teach a concept (you include station ideas and many whole group/small group ideas)! Thanks for being so "detail oriented!" I have my fingers crossed!

  2. I love the way you made your photos look like they are in an album (with the photo corners!)…you are so creative with the activities. And I like the way you have actually had students trying the work…not all sellers do.

Thanks for the chance to win this…fingers crossed!

  3. I'm in Twxas so we don't use the Commin Core. But when our state standards were revised a few years back, prepositions got added in for us too. Our current reading program does address it , but not as good as your unit. I hope I win!
