New Year Writing Activities

Happy New Year Writing Activities: Cut out the hat and attach to a sentence strip. The hat can then be worn as a headband!  Isn’t she cute?  She chose “horses” as her word (yes, she wants a horse.)  New Year is a fun time in the classroom. Winter break is over, but what now? I usually have to come up with something quick and easy, but also fun! This hat is all that and more! It includes a writing component, too. Your students will love making these hats to celebrate the New Year holiday.

I love a writing activity simple enough for kindergarten and this is perfect for independent work!  Even kids can pick a WORD for 2018!  Kinders can draw themselves in 2018 and choose their “word.” I hope you love my new Happy New Year. My daughter Maggie loves the New Year and begged for a party hat to celebrate. I gave in and that was the inspiration for this pack.
