Goldilocks and the Three Bears Math and Literacy {Sub Tub}

I have been working for what feels like FOREVER on this sub tub…all you need is this pack and the classic book, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and you are set!  You can use it as a sub tub or as a thematic unit.  I tried to make this completely self contained, everything you need …except the book!
I included activities for literacy, math, and social studies.  You can check out the product listing page for some of the Common Core standards covered.  I took pictures of  just some of the activities:
 Doubles Dice Game:
 Measuring:
 Ordering by size:
 Characters and Text to Self Connections:
 I place all the prepped materials in a binder and I am ready for any emergency when I need to be out!

Here is an overview of most of the pages, not including the measuring activities:
Leave a comment about what you like to leave for your sub when you are out…or a comment about anything else (what you think of the pack maybe?)  and I will choose a random winner to give this pack to in the next couple of days!
Congrats!

    I like to leave a "theme day" too, whenever I have to be out (which isn't often)….I've always said it's too much work to prep for a sub, but this would certainly make it MUCH easier! Thanks for all of your hard work!

    If I have any extra worksheets left over I put them in a tray for time-fillers, including sub days. that guarantees that the work is something that the students have already covered and is extra practice. I would also find a short video that would go with the materials for the sub tub, like in this case, a version of Goldilocks or maybe a non-fiction clip of bears.

    I like to leave sheets or projects that we have not gotten to, but only over subjects that I have already taught. I would hate for a sub to have to tackle teaching a completely new unit to my class. I will admit that while we don't do a lot of worksheets in class, I like to leave as many as possible for the sub. They are easy and self explanitory. I like that your unit can cover an entire day's worth of lessons.
