A Bright New Partnership
A Bright New Partnership: As most of you know, I love color. I love my colorful classroom. I can’t go anywhere without colorful pens and markers. And I’ve been accused of being a bit of a color paper hoarder. My favorite paper to hoard? Astrobrights, of course!! Having a love of their paper, you can imagine how excited I was to be asked to be part of their 2016 Bright Mind, Astrobrights’ Edublogger Ambassador Program. I couldn’t be any more excited to bring you ideas of how to incorporate color into your classroom along with some other pretty exciting stuff that’s coming soon!
Here is a fun little FREEBIE incentive for your students to keep their tables/desks clean. I got the cutest (Kohl’s Cares) Leo Leonni Chameleon (from the book A Color of His Own) and thought it would be a perfect incentive for my students to keep their areas clean. It works a lot like the “desk fairy” only this Clean Chameleon makes his visit and stays all day! Every so often, I will choose a group of desks (I don’t have tables -insert sad face-) that are organized and neat…I reward them with these cute little notes and the Clean Chameleon. He prefers to hang out on the cleanest of clean desks and tables, he’s a bit OCD! (but I don’t tell the kids that!)
You can get your FREEBIE {HERE}. To print these, I used Celestial Blue, Outrageous Orchid, Martian Green, Lift-Off Yellow, and Fireball Fuchsia Astrobrights Papers. Aren’t the names awesome?

I am also super excited to be joining a great team of teacher bloggers that include Maria from Kindercraze, Reagan from Tunstall Teaching Tidbits, Marsha from Differentiated Kindergarten, Jodi from Fun in First and April from A Modern Teacher. We cannot wait to share with you all the ways you can use color in your classroom (and beyond!)
Be sure to follow @Astrobrights on Instagram the week of February 29 for a Bright Minds takeover. You’ll get a behind the scenes peek at who each of us are and why we love color! Hope this post inspires you to add some color to your classroom!
