Silly McGilly

Have you heard of Silly McGilly?

No?
Well, let me tell you all about him!
(of course, if you’re anything like me, you have a strong affinity to anything Irish ….ahem….but that’s another story for another day involving an Irish dating site- lol) =)
Anyway, back to business…

First, this is how the Silly McGilly magic works:  read his story, then place the doll in the window on the night your classroom is ready for a trick to be played.   This is the invitation for the “real” dolly to come and visit you.  Just sit back and wait for the fun to begin! I have a free leprechaun directed drawing you can find HERE. There are so many other activities you can do, be sure to get Silly McGilly because it will end up being your favorite!

He is a friendly leprechaun who loves visiting classrooms to play fun little tricks on children throughout the St. Patrick’s Day season.

The book even has a poster for your classroom!

You can find out more about Silly McGilly or purchase your own {HERE}

I love this activity and it will be something your students will always remember.Your class will love it! Looking for other St Patrick’s Day activities? Click HERE!

  1. I'd have Silly McGilly turn our poem upside down- which would mean we'd have to lay down in the floor to read it! Thanks for the chance to win!

  2. Silly would make the room a mess and other silly tricks! He might leave some green treats. I would love this – my kids have been talking about leprechauns since school started and have made traps in art class!

  3. Oh gosh, I am not sure….I haven't really heard of this before, but what about him mixing up their things in their cubbies….they would really be confused! Thanks for the chance!

  4. (So cute. I did Elf on the Shelf for the first time this year and my kids loved it. I will have to try this.) Silly McGilly would switch the books around in our guided reading baskets.
