The Pigeon Has To Go To School is by far my favorite Mo Willems book for back to school. I created a companion to the book that includes 11 writing pages and an adorable craft. Back to School can be stressful and in kindergarten it is all about routines. The first day of school, we are prepping kids for what to expect (and running around like crazy people!) and sometimes forget how nervous and anxious they may feel. This book is terrific because it acknowledges how we might feel about coming to school, but at the same time, the benefits of going!

I really do love, love, love this book and I know my kids will, too! Mo Willems is one of my favorite children’s book authors and his illustrations aren’t too shabby, either!
