How can you use
Directed Drawings?
Directed drawings are a step by step approach to drawing something. The teacher is able to guide, or direct, students in the steps to create a drawing. In addition to the teacher leading the lesson, directions can be independent with a video tutorial or a paper copy. Want to learn more? Check out this blog post about HOW and WHY I do directed drawings. Read all about it:
Welcome
I’m Jennifer White
All About me, First and Kinder Blue Skies! I began teaching 25+ years ago after graduating from the University of Montevallo with a degree in Early Childhood. Later, I went on to acquire my Master’s Degree at the University of Alabama. Meanwhile, I’ve been fortunate enough to achieve my National Board Teacher certification twice over the last 20 years! I mean, who does it twice?
I am married and have three awesome children: Emma, Jack, and Maggie. Jack is on the spectrum (i.e. formerly Asperger’s) and I have struggled through the years to adjust my thinking and navigate the world with him. You can learn more about that initial struggle on my blog.
Teaching in a happy classroom means that you love your job and the place you come to every working day! Although I have recently moved to second grade, I have taught kindergarten (my heart), first grade and also third grade. In the end,I want you to know that I love my job!
