Mother’s Day Activities
Mother’s Day Activities : In my classroom, we are in full Mother’s Day mode getting ready for our Mother’s Day Tea on the 8th! So many things to do, so little time! These activities are sure to please everyone!
I decided to use my Directed Drawings for the Entire Year Mother’s Day Direct Draw this year and then frame each portrait in a Dollar Tree frame. They turned out so cute (I will have better pictures when I get them back to school!)
Each mom or special someone is unique and special. Mother’s Day Activities are the best!

I am also taking pictures of my students to use in these collage frames created (idea seen on Peace, Love, and First Grade’s Blog) with tissue paper squares, mod podge, cut up letters from magazines, and wooden frames:
I love how each one is different =)
In case you want to create your own, here’s the link for the tissue squares. I found the wood frames at Michael’s for $1 each.

One other craft that I won’t be doing this year, but has been a very LOVED self portrait craft in the past:

I love all your mother's day activities! I especially love the directed drawings because they are so personal and unique. I know mom's will treasure these crafts for years to come! Thanks for sharing!
These are all adorable Jennifer!
Everything about this post is just TOO cute!!! I think I will have my kids draw their moms this year, what a stinkin' adorable idea!
Great ideas! I can't wait for ours either. Our whole school (besides K and Pre-K) are doing standardized testing next week, no parents allowed-so we have to do ours this Friday. A lot still to get ready! 🙂
